Abstract
One day, six artists, one mile of alien landscape at the spiritual home of the industrial revolution. What can be done with these forgotten, other worldly and often neglected spaces?
This was the question posed by MADE, the centre for place-making. Commissioning local artists: Bryan Hancox, Danny Griffin Hayes, Jayne Murray, Nita Newman, Samuel Rodgers and Fusion Dance Company.
