    Abstract

    In 2014 The Tower of London commissioned an art work to Commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War by artist Paul Cummins which resulted in the creation and planting 888,246 ceramic poppies in the moat of the Tower. Three films were produced to document the making, planting and reception of the poppies that involved interviews with creators and volunteers and a charting of the creation process. These films were published on Youtube and Vimeo and by 2017 have collectively been viewed over 500,000 times.
