Abstract

Our view of the world can influence how we act within it and vice versa. Using the ‘FS model’, this book offers you a new way of seeing the world and enables you to: 1) Understand the different phases of exclusion, extremism, radicalisation, terrorism, grooming, addiction and bullying, so that you can: 2) Have a positive impact in your interactions with others. This book equips you with the skill to read the world around you; it gives you a solid foundation on which to base and evaluate both your and other people’s beliefs and practices as citizens of the world. With this new outlook on the world, you get to reconsider how you relate to and approach ideas such as the Muslim concept of ‘consultation’, your national (British and other) values’ and ‘globalisation’. TRAPPED? is an interactive, easily accessible, informative and objective-led manual from a professional to other professionals, parents, students and the wider public intent on understanding and tackling some of the most important issues facing our society today.
