Zefiro

This choreography was commissioned by Merge Dance Company, Texas State University Dance Department, Sana Marcos, US. The department has been rated 9th best of the United States and as such the artist residence and the piece forms part of the development of future leading dance professional in the US. The piece Zefiro was made for 7 dancers and 7 balloons, exploring two different movement elements, the choreography of the dancers on stage in relation to the choreography of the set. The soundscape created an atmosphere that enhanced the kinesthetic experience of the different moving bodies on stage rhythmically suggesting a sense of atmosphere and movement in the air.
